You Need to Know — Privacy Policy

You Need to Know (published by Old Dog Labs) does not require an account and does not collect personal information from its users.

What we don't do

• No account creation or login
• No collection of location, camera, or contact data
• No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
• No advertising or ad tracking

On-device storage

Your streak — how many facts you've correctly guessed in a row — is saved using your device's local storage, so it's there the next time you open the app. This never leaves your device.

Network requests

You Need to Know makes anonymous, unauthenticated requests to two public sources to keep the game fresh:

• Open Trivia Databasetrivia questions
• Useless Facts APIrandom facts

These requests don't include anything tied to you personally, and we don't receive or retain the responses beyond displaying them in the app.

Children's privacy

You Need to Know is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
